I am quantitative researcher and data analyst with expertise in personality and developmental psychology and a passion for open and transparent science. I received my Ph.D. in Social-Personality Psychology with a Quantitative Emphasis from the University of California, Davis in 2022.
During graduate school, I launched my research program that focuses on the nature, development, and assessment of personality traits and the influence of these traits on mental health and academic achievement. I take a lifespan developmental approach to understanding individual differences with an emphasis on the period of adolescence. I also do theoretical and metascientific work exploring jingle-jangle fallacies, construct validity, citing decisions, and other topics that span research areas.
From 2023-2026, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology (with a secondary appointment in Data Analytics) at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. Before that, I served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Oberlin College for one year. I have taught dozens of college courses in statistics, psychometrics, personality, and adolescent development, and I love teaching and mentoring. I currently chair the Scientific Advisory Board for PsyArXiv, the preeminent preprint service for psychological science.
